This year we celebrate a very special milestone: 75 years of cooking, tradition, and family passion. And we couldn’t be happier to have received a special mention from the Casino Prado Suburense at the 4th edition of the Women’s Gastronomic Talent Award during the Festival Dona.
Our story is that of a family-run restaurant that has grown alongside Sitges, driven by three generations of brave and passionate women. Carol, the current director of the restaurant, represents this third generation. She is the first woman to lead the project, doing so with a vision that honors the past and embraces the future.
We want to dedicate this recognition to Grandma Conxita, who began this adventure with Grandpa Josep, and to Mom Montserrat, who still collaborates today with the same energy as always. They were the pillars who supported the dreams of her father and grandfather, always present with quiet strength.
Carol has chosen to preserve the family’s culinary legacy:
- The restaurant continues to offer honest, traditional cuisine, with homemade desserts and local wines.
- A Mediterranean essence passed down from her father.
- And now, new creations rooted in tradition that carry forward a story that has been simmering for 75 years.
During the Festival Dona event, we enjoyed an inspiring talk with chef Carlota Claver and journalist Trinitat Gilbert, and the book Sitges, Cuina d’Arrels, de la sitja al plat, was presented—a collection of Sitges recipes full of memory, flavor, and identity. Attendees had the chance to taste some of the featured dishes.
This recognition fills us with pride, but above all, it reminds us that cooking is much more than food: it’s memory, family, and emotion.
